How to Set Up the Meeting Owl

Overview

The Meeting Owl (often called “the Owl”) is a 360‑degree camera designed for hybrid and in‑person meetings. It automatically focuses on the person who is speaking and includes a built‑in microphone and speaker.

What You Need

  • A Meeting Owl device
  • A power outlet
  • A USB cable
  • A laptop or desktop computer
  • Video conferencing software (such as Zoom)

Set Up the Meeting Owl

Follow these steps to connect and use the Meeting Owl:

  1. Plug in the power cable
    Connect the Meeting Owl to a power outlet.
  2. Connect the USB cable
    Plug the USB cable from the Meeting Owl into your laptop or desktop computer.
  3. Wait for the device to load
    • The Meeting Owl should configure itself automatically.
    • You may see a message asking you to install the Owl app. You can safely ignore this message while the camera finishes loading.

Use the Meeting Owl with Zoom

If you are using Zoom, complete the following steps:

  1. Open Zoom and start or join a meeting.
  2. Open the Video settings in Zoom.
  3. Select Meeting Owl as your camera.
  4. Wait for the camera feed to load.
    • If you see a message about installing the Owl app, you can ignore it.

The Meeting Owl should now be active and ready to use.
