My SMSU is Southwest Minnesota State University’s campus engagement platform powered by Ready Education. It connects students with campus organizations, events, announcements, resources, services, faculty, staff, and other students in one centralized location.
My SMSU is available through a web browser and the My SMSU mobile app.
With My SMSU, students can:
- Discover campus events and activities
- Join student organizations and campus communities
- Communicate with classmates, faculty, and staff
- Collaborate with other students on group projects
- Access university resources and services
- Receive campus announcements and notifications
- Find quick links to D2L and eServices
- Use available digital Mustang Card services
Who Can Use My SMSU?
My SMSU is available to:
Access My SMSU
Access Through a Web Browser
- Open a web browser.
- Go to the My SMSU web portal.
- Select Sign In.
- Enter your SMSU login credentials.
Access Through the Mobile App
- Download the My SMSU app:
- Open the app.
- Select My SMSU.
- Enter your SMSU login credentials.

- Password: Your StarID password
Complete Your Profile
After signing in for the first time, complete the onboarding process and review your profile information.
You may:
- Review your name and profile details.
- Upload a profile photo, if desired.
- Verify your contact information.
- Update other available profile information.
Keeping your profile current helps students, faculty, and staff identify and connect with you.
