ATTENTION:
- Your username is: campus\YourStarID (i.e., smsu.edu\ab1234cd)
- Your password is: your StarID password
- Remember to save your files to OneDrive or email them to yourself and log off. Files saved directly on these computers will be deleted.
1. New users: Download the Windows app from the App Store. Search for "Windows App" and download the app.
2. Once downloaded, click or type the link below in a new browser to copy any of the available mac computers listed. The mac computer are the ones with the apple icon right next to them. https://remoteaccess.labstats.com/Southwest-Minnesota-State-University
3. Once you have downloaded and launched the application, select the "+" button on the top right corner of the page. Click on "Add PC"
4. After clicking "Add PC," fill in the required information based on the instructions below:
a. PC name: pk4t9h2l66.smsu.edu
b. Credentials: Ask when required
c. User account: smsu.edu\StarID (i.e., smsu.edu\ab1234cd)
d. Gateway: labconnect.smsu.edu:8443
e. Ensure 'Bypass for local addresses' is not checked
f. Click the "Add" button when you have filled in all the required information.
5. Once added, the pc should be saved on your windows app like this
6. Click on the saved pc and this screen pop up. you have to put in your username and password to gain access.
Click on Continue to gain access to the computer
7. Click “connect”
NOTE: Always remember to log off the computer when you are finished using it.
