Bookstore Account Setup
The SMSU campus bookstore account is not connected to your SMSU login credentials. You must create a separate bookstore account using a valid email address.
Once your account is set up and your student information is verified, you may be able to use eligible financial aid for purchases (if applicable).
Before You Begin
Have the following information ready:
- A valid email address you can access
- Your Student ID (Mustang/TechID) — 8-digit number
- Your academic year (for example: Freshman, Sophomore)
Create a Bookstore Account
Step 1: Open the Account Creation Page
- Visit the campus bookstore website.
- Locate and select the “Sign In / Create Account” option.
- From the available options, choose “Create Account.”
Note: The “Sign In / Create Account” option is typically located near the top-right area of the webpage.
Step 2: Enter Your Account Information
Complete all required fields on the account form:
- Enter your email address
- Create a secure password
- Provide the requested personal information
Under the “I am a…” selection:
For student verification:
- Enter your Student ID (Mustang/TechID)
- Confirm Student ID
- Select your academic year from the available list
Step 3: Link Your Account to SMSU eServices
When you include your Student ID during account creation:
- Your bookstore account will automatically link to eServices
- This may enable you to apply financial aid toward eligible purchases
Step 4: Complete Account Setup
After submitting the form:
- Your account will be created
- You may proceed to browse and complete purchases through the bookstore website
Reset Your Password (If Needed)
If you already have an account but cannot sign in:
- Go to the bookstore sign-in page
- Select “Forgot Your Password?”
- Follow the instructions to reset your password
