The SMSU Printing Support service provides assistance with campus printing systems used by faculty, staff, students, and guests.

SMSU’s printing environment includes multiple printer types and services that work together to support teaching, learning, and daily operations. The services below are designed to address common printing needs across campus.

Add a Printer

Use this service to request that a printer be added to your device.

Supported printers include:

  • HP printers
  • Konica printers
  • 3D printers
  • Department‑purchased printers

The support team will ensure proper setup and connectivity so your computer can communicate with the printer successfully.

Add or Remove PaperCut Cost Center

Use this service to request changes to a user’s PaperCut cost center access.

This includes:

  • Adding a new cost center for printing charges
  • Removing access to a cost center that is no longer needed

Providing accurate cost center details helps ensure printing charges are applied correctly.

Move a Printer

Use this service to request that a printer be moved from one campus location to another.

To support a smooth transition, please include:

  • The current printer location
  • The new location
  • Any special requirements or timing considerations

The support team will work to ensure the printer is fully functional after the move.

Printing PIN

Use this service to request a printing PIN for secure access to Konica printers.

A printing PIN helps protect your print jobs by ensuring they can only be released by you at the printer.

This service includes:

  • Generating a unique printing PIN
  • Assisting with setup or configuration, if needed

Please include details about your printing needs and any specific requirements.

Remove or Retire a Printer

Use this service to request the removal or retirement of a printer that is no longer needed, outdated, or being replaced.

The support team will assist with:

  • Decommissioning the printer
