The Southwest Minnesota State University (SMSU) printing system is comprised of numerous components that work together to support all our diverse campus communities: faculty, staff, students, and guests. Below are links with explanations tailored to each group's specific needs and interests.

Add

Use this service to request a printer to be added to your device. Printers that can be added include HPs, Konicas, 3D printers, and department-purchased printers. Our support team will assist in ensuring seamless communication between computers and printers across campus. 

Printing Pin

Use this service to request a printing PIN for secure access to Konica printers. A printing PIN ensures that your print jobs are secure and can only be released by you at the printer. Our support team will generate and provide you with a unique PIN, and assist with any setup or configuration needed. Please provide details about your printing requirements and any specific configurations to facilitate a smooth and efficient process.

Remove or Retire

Use this service to request the removal or retirement of a printer. If a printer is no longer needed, outdated, or being replaced, our support team will assist with its decommissioning, ensuring that all necessary data is cleared and that the device is properly removed from the network. Please provide the printer details and reason for removal to ensure proper handling.

Support

Use this service to request for assistance with printing access changes, printer relocations, and troubleshooting hardware issues. If you need to update your printing permissions, move a printer to a new location, or resolve technical problems, our support team is available to help. For access changes, specify your current permissions and requested updates. For printer moves, provide the current and new locations along with any special requirements. For technical support, describe the issue, printer model, and any error messages to facilitate a quick resolution.
