Employee Remote Application Access

Employees can access certain systems and resources that may not be readily available on their SMSU managed devices or may be needed while off campus. Examples of these resources include BlueZone and ISRS/Uniface. 

If you do not have access, please use the following link to request it: Service - Remote Desktop (RDP) Request 

NoteIf you are off campus, you must connect to the Cisco Secure Client (VPN) before accessing these resources. 

Web Access:

  1. Go to: https://remoteconnect.smsu.edu  

  1. Sign in using the following information:  

  • Username: [YourStarID]@smsu.edu 

  • Password: Your StarID password

To add your work resources: 

  1. Open the Windows App

  1. Click on the Apps tab on the left side of the window. 

  1. If nothing appears, click the plus (+) button at the top and select Add Workspace from the dropdown menu.  

  • If something is already listed, please delete it next to Work Resources, as it is most likely an outdated login. 

  1. Enter the following URL: https://remoteconnect.smsu.edu/rdweb/feed/webfeed.aspx 

  1. For credentials, you can either:  

  • Leave Ask When Required, or 

  • Create saved credentials:  

  • Username: [YourStarID]@smsu.edu 

  • Password: Your StarID password 

  1. After setting your credentials, click the Apps tab again. You should now see all your Windows-related apps. 

Note: For Uniface, open the application and enter your credentials using the same format listed above.
