Overview

This article explains how to install and use Airtame for wireless screen sharing on:

  • Mac computers
  • Personal Windows laptops
  • SMSU-managed Windows laptops

Follow the steps below based on your device type.

Airtame on Personal Mac or Personal Windows Laptop

Step 1: Download the Airtame App

  1. Open a web browser (Google Chrome is recommended).
  2. Go to the Airtame download page:
    https://airtame.com/download/
  3. Select Get for PC/Mac to start the download.

Step 2: Install the Application

  1. Open your Downloads folder.
  2. Locate and open the Airtame installer file.
  3. Follow the installation prompts:
    • Select Next three times.
    • Select Install.
    • Wait for installation to complete.
  4. Select Finish when prompted.

Step 3: Open Airtame and Connect

  1. Open the Airtame application.
  2. Ensure your device is connected to SMSUMyWiFi.
  3. In Airtame, enter:
    • The name of the screen, or
    • The IP address of the Airtame device.
  4. Select Share screen.

Step 4: Enter the PIN

  1. A PIN will appear on the display screen.
  2. Enter the PIN into the Airtame app on your laptop to start sharing.

Airtame on SMSU Windows Laptops

Step 1: Open Software Center

  1. Select the Start menu.
  2. Type Software Center.
  3. Open the Software Center application.

Step 2: Install Airtame

  1. Wait until Airtame appears in the list of applications.
  2. Right-click Airtame.
  3. Select Install.
  4. Wait for installation to complete (this may take a few minutes).

Step 3: Open Airtame

  1. Press the Windows key.
  2. Type Airtame.
  3. Select the Airtame application to open it.

Step 4: Connect to a Screen

  1. In the Airtame app, enter:
    • The room name (for example, Meeting Room 1), or
    • The IP address (example: 10.13.37.11).
  2. Select Share screen.

Step 5: Enter the PIN

  1. A PIN will appear on the room display.
  2. Enter the PIN into your Airtame app.

Additional Notes

  • Make sure you are connected to SMSUMyWiFi before attempting to share your screen.
  • Room names and IP addresses depend on your location.
